• Qualified DGSA to meet requirements of Carriage of Dangerous Goods Regulations
All companies involved in the transport, loading, unloading and packing of dangerous goods must have the services of a qualified DGSA. I can provide a tailor-made service for customers ranging from a basic retained service through to a complete package involving monthly assessments/audits and meetings, as well as the annual report.

• Classification of goods for transport
My expertise enables professional classification service for all routinely available chemicals and mixtures.

· Packaging for the transport of Dangerous Goods

Are your dangerous goods in the correct type of packaging for transportation, if you are unsure then why not contact me and be safe.

UN regulations recognise several types of packaging that can be used for the transport of dangerous goods:

· Packages up to 400 kg or 450 l: e.g. jerry-cans, drums, boxes, bags, etc.

· Composite packages, inner and outer package fitting together: e.g. bag-in-box, etc.

· IBC's up to 3m³: e.g. FIBC, full plastic, composite steel outer cage with plastic inner receptacle, etc.

· Large packaging : from 400 kg or 450 l up to 3m³ (comparable to the smaller combination packaging, outer with inner packaging not UN approved) : e.g. pallet-box

Small quantities of products may be packed in small non UN approved inner-packages in combination with an outer package, e.g. carton. This in accordance with the rule of limited quantities.

• Labels and Vehicle Markings and Mixed Loads
All consignments are required to be clearly labelled along with the vehicle transporting them for the safety of other road users. Are you moving more than one type of substance on a vehicle, then you could be breaking the law.

The information contained in the consignment note should contain the following information and if leaving the UK and will need to be in a different  language:- The UN Number, Proper shipping name, Class (with subsidiary hazard, if any, in brackets), Packing group (where assigned), Number and description of packages, Total quantity of each item of different UN Number, name/address of consignor, name /address of consignee(s), New for ADR 2007 is a provision that where there are multiple consignees not known at the start of the journey, the words “Delivery Sale” may be used and Declaration relating to any special agreement, where applicable (uncommon).
