Do you require a Dangerous Goods Safety Adviser (DGSA), many companies trading are unaware of the legal requirement to employ a DGSA.

 

The regulations cover any person who is actively moving by road, rail or storing and manufacturing dangerous goods which are then transported. Having an ADR trained driver is NOT sufficient. The regulations state:

 

Each undertaking, the activities of which include the carriage, or the related packing, loading, filling or unloading of dangerous goods by road [and rail] shall appoint one or more Safety Advisers [DGSA], responsible for helping to prevent the risks inherent in such activities with regard to persons, property and the environment.
